| 2008 Club Championship Tournament | RCRC's 2008 Club Championship Tennis Tournament Who: Members only. Anyone not a member must join and pay full dues by the 1st of October. When: Sept. 26th, 27th, and 28th 2008 Deadline for entries are Tuesday, Sept. 23rd 6pm Cost: Singles $8 / Doubles/Mixed $5 per person Sign-up forms are available here and bring it into the club. Prizes: First prize in singles is a $30 gift cert to Overhead Smash and first in doubles is $20 per person gift certificate. You can use the gift certificate at the main location or at the Boise Racket and Swim Pro shop. Prizes will be awarded for 2nd and consolation and amounts will be determined by how many entrants we get. Ken and Melissa Stringfield will have slow smoked meat and beans on Saturday until it runs out. Snacks and Drink : The club will have a few snacks and drinks available. If you can please bring a snack to share with everyone throughout the tournament. We would appreciate it. Turkey Shoot Out Raffle - Hosted by Jennifer and Bill at 5:30 on Saturday night. Various prizes on the court and when they feed the ball if you hit one of the targets you win the prize. The prizes range from grips, shirts and hats, to racket stringing and free lessons. If anyone has misc tennis items they would like to have given away during the raffle please bring them to the office. | Recreational Coaches Workshop | February 24, 2008 10am-4pm Anyone interested in learning the basics of coaching and teaching tennis or seeking a refresher on more current methods and effective tools should attend this Recreational Coach Workshop. The RCW will be taught by Holger Nickel who is a specially trained and certified teaching professional. This six hour session covers: games and drills every coach should know, games-based approach to coaching, teaching large groups, and effective team practices. The cost to attend this training session will be between $13-15 and lunch will be provided. Round up your players and get ready for Spring Blocks Forms available December 26th, 2007 online or at the club. Forms must be turned in by Monday January 7th, 2008. Lottery on Tuesday January 8th, 2008 at 6pm. Blocks begin Monday January 14th, 2008 Block fees due (Paid in Full) prior to blocks starting on the 14th. |

| Cardio Tennis | A great way to burn off those Thanksgiving calories!!! What: This class will be a fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high energy workout. Cardio Tennis includes a warm-up, cardio workout, and cool down phases. If you are looking for a great way to burn those Thanksgiving calories off, come try our Cardio Tennis Class. The program is ONE HOUR of fitness and moving. It is more about getting people active and their heart rates up.
